WATCH: Houston Astros Star Makes History Books with Massive Home Run Against Rangers

Houston Astros star Jose Altuve makes MLB postseason history with his home run in Game 3 of the ALCS against the Texas Rangers.

ARLINGTON, Texas - The Houston Astros are starting to look like the team who made their seventh-straight ALCS.

The Astros love playing away from Minute Maid Park and that is showing on Wednesday night at Globe Life Field against the Texas Rangers in Game 3 of the ALCS.

As of writing, Houston currently leads the Rangers 5-0 on the back of Yordan Alvarez and Jose Altuve home runs.

Altuve's home run was historic as it put him in second place for the most amount of home runs hit in the MLB postseason. Ever.

Altuve's solo shot in the top of the third inning off of Max Scherzer gave the Astros a 4-0 lead.

Cristian Javier has also been incredible on the mound throwing four innings of hitless ball at the time of writing. He now has 20.0 consecutive scoreless innings pitched in the postseason.

While the series wouldn't be over with a loss on Wednesday night, it felt like a must-win game coming into the evening.

Securing two wins in Arlington is a must if Houston hopes to return home and have a chance at advancing to the World Series for a second-consecutive season.

With the Astros in the Rangers bullpen early, the bats must take full advantage. Something Altuve is already doing.

Game 4 of the ALCS will take place at Globe Life Field on Thursday at 7:03 p.m. CT. Starters for either time have not yet been announced.
