Astros Get Their ALCS Rematch Against Rangers Early on Sunday Night Baseball

The Houston Astros will be able to play their division rivals in the American League Championship Series early in the 2024 season on national television.

There is a bad taste left in the mouths of Houston Astros fans everywhere after getting eliminated by their division rival Texas Rangers in the American League Championship Series last season.

The Rangers eventually went on to win their franchise's first ever World Series title and seem to be the biggest threat to the Astros' success for years to come.

Texas spent massive amounts of money to put together a team that could compete with Houston after the Astros dominated their regular season matchups to the tune of an 82-43 record since the start of 2017.

Houston will get their ALCS rematch on national television early on in the upcoming season after ESPN announced their Sunday Night Baseball schedule.

The two AL West foes will be the second marquee matchup to begin the year, as they're set to play each other in Arlington, Texas on April 7.

This will be the third game in their four-game series beginning Friday, April 5.

As it stands right now, the rosters of both teams seem to be virtually the same entering the year as the Astros have not been able to make additions because of their financial concerns and the Rangers have not spent to the degree they have previously.

If there were to be changes, it likely comes from Texas' side with them still in the running to re-sign their starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery and being continuously linked to elite closer Josh Hader to address their bullpen issues.

This will be a massive series during the early part of the season as Houston looks for their revenge following their playoff elimination and wants to continue the dominance they have had over the AL West.
