Two Houston Astros Players Primed For Take Off Down Stretch

In this story:
The Houston Astros are in a dog fight for the AL West divisional title.
Sitting one-and-a-half games out of first entering Saturday, they're going to have to start playing their best baseball if they want to three-peat.
The good news for the Astros is that they have two players on the roster who are ready to play their best as the home stretch of the season begins.
Houston fans know that Alex Bregman and Kyle Tucker are big time players. They've performed at the highest levels when it mattered most.
MLB.com thinks this is the case again.
They've released their list of the best second-half players in the league, with both Bregman and Tucker on the list.
The superstar shortstop has taken his game to the next level in the second-half. He's increased his OPS .062 points to .922, which is sixth across the majors during this stretch. He's hitting .301/.386/.589 with six home runs in his 19 games since the All-Star break.
Bregman's career .995 OPS in the month of August suggests he's just getting started.
As if having a player as hot their shortstop wasn't good enough, Tucker has been an even hotter hitter.
The right fielder was hitting .352/.429/.704 with six home runs before their game against the New York Yankees on Friday, where he had another hit and drove in two runs.
With these two hitters swinging their bats the way there are currently, adding Yordan Alvarez and Jose Altuve back to the lineup could push them not only to a three-peat in the division, but back-to-back World Series titles.
