Teoscar Hernández had three hits for a second day in a row in Toronto's win over Seattle
People aren't talking about Teoscar Hernández enough if you ask Charlie Montoyo.
Since Hernandez was sent down to triple-A three seasons ago, Hernández has been "one of the better hitters in baseball," Montoyo said. People should start talking more about the 2020 Silver Slugger, he said.
"When you look at his numbers since he came back [from the Triple-A demotion]," Montoyo said. "They're pretty good. They're right there with Mike Trout and all those guys."
In Toronto's win over Seattle Sunday, Hernández finished 3/4 with two runs, one RBI, a stolen base, and a home run. In 2021, he's hitting .313 with 20 homers, 8 stolen bases, and 81 RBI in just 380 at-bats.
