Brandon Gaudin named the NSMA Sports Media Georgia Sportscaster of the Year!

Gaudin earns a well-deserved award!

Braves fans found out after the 2022 season that longtime play-by-play announcer, Chip Caray, would be leaving the Braves booth for a booth at Busch Park in St. Louis. A nationwide search ensued to find the next play-by-play man for the Atlanta Braves. After a lengthy search, Brandon Gaudin was chosen as the new play-by-play guy.

Gaudin was a name that a lot of Braves Country were not familiar with but he fit in with the Braves like a glove. Gaudin was the voice of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football and men's basketball as well as Butler men's basketball for a few years. He currently is the voice of EA Sports Madden football games.

Gaudin became an Indiana kid who was living out his dreams when he was signed on as the Braves' new play-by-play guy. Gaudin once famously wrote a letter to Skip Caray at 13 years old.

Gaudin grew up a Braves fan and he is living out his childhood dream. After the 2023 season started, Braves Country fell in love with Gaudin and his witty banter with Jeff Francoeur and other members of Braves media. Also, who can forget this gem from September?

Anytime you can get the approval of Pitching Ninja, it's a great day. Gaudin was fantastic in year one with the Braves and that earned him the NSMA Sports Media Georgia Broadcaster of the Year. I believe that it will be the first of many awards that Gaudin will win in his time in the Braves booth. Congratulations, Brandon!
