Lineups, how to watch Atlanta's Wednesday doubleheader against the Detroit Tigers (Update: Game two scheduled for 5:05 PM ET)

The Braves send Spencer Strider and Dylan Dodd to the mound as they look to take the series from Detroit

Let's try this again.

A day after being walked off in extras by Detroit to open the series, the Atlanta Braves had to sit through multiple weather delays before their matchup last night with the Tigers was finally postponed to today due to rain.

Atlanta's called up Dylan Dodd as the 27th man for today's matchup, and is hoping to go undefeated today to secure their fourth straight series victory.

His 121 strikeouts, an average of 14.9 K/9 innings, are both leading all of MLB. Only four members of the Detroit roster have even faced him, and they're collectively 0-8.

Opposing the Braves is RHP Reese Olson. A 2018 13th rounder by the Milwaukee Brewers, he's pitched twice this season (one start) for Detroit after being called up in early June, going 0-1 with a 2.70 ERA. He has nine strikeouts in his ten innings of work, walking two. No current member of the Atlanta Braves has faced him.

Game Two

Starting for the Braves is Dylan Dodd, who was called-up as the 27th man for today's contest. 2-1 on the season with a 6.64 ERA in his four starts, Dodd has swung back and forth between Atlanta and AAA Gwinnett as a spot starter. He's never faced Detroit.

Opposing the Braves is RHP Michael Lorenzen. The former two-way player, now solidly entrenched as a pitcher, is 2-3 this season with a 3.75 ERA in his ten starts. He's struck out forty-four in his sixty innings of work, with only thirteen walks (a career low 2.0 BB/9). He's faced Atlanta nine times in his career, all in relief while with the Reds, and has an 3.00 ERA and ten strikeouts in nine career innings. Orlando Arcia has been particularly good against Lorenzen, batting .357 with two homeruns and seven RBIs against the righty.
