The Atlanta Braves were ranked 27th in MLB Pipeline's latest farm system rankings

In recent rankings, they were 30th in the 2023 preseason rankings, 27th in the 2022 midseason rankings, 27th in the 2022 preseason rankings, and 23rd in the 2021 midseason rankings.

The lone top-100 prospect listed is RHP AJ Smith-Shawver. He's ranked as the 57th prospect. Here's their quick write-up on him.

Smith-Shawver’s race to the big leagues gives the system a nice shot in the arm, though they still get help in Atlanta from the farm and find guys to trade to bring in help as they continue to win in the NL East. They went college heavy in the 2023 Draft, which should help in terms of players moving faster to provide more fodder sooner rather than later.

Bryce Elder had a solid Tuesday night. Will Moon led our coverage last night of Atlanta's 5-0 win over the Yankees. Here's what his takeaway was on Elder.

The offense did its thing, but the big story tonight was Bryce Elder, who shook off his recent struggles and tossed seven shutout innings. Now we should note that the Yankees are roadkill right now, but even so, Bryce only allowed one hit while both walking and striking out three on 94 pitches. Everything looked sharper, and he induced nine groundouts, including three double play balls

Check out his full list of takeaways.

How to watch the Atlanta Braves

The Braves and Yankees wrap up this three-game series today at 7:20 Eastern. This is also the final interleague game of the 2023 regular season for Atlanta. Uncle Charlie Morton (11-10, 3.71 ERA, 4.17 FIP) gets the ball for the home team, while New York counters with rookie Randy Vásquez (2-1, 1.89 ERA, 5.11 FIP in three starts).

The game broadcast is available inside Braves Country on Bally Sports South and on MLB.TV outside of the broadcast area. The radio call, with Ben Ingram, is available locally on 680 AM/93.7 FM The Fan or outside the Atlanta market on the Atlanta Braves Radio Network or MLB.com.
