Atlanta has sixteen straight games in June against teams with losing records.

May didn't end the way Atlanta wanted it to. Still, a 15-14 record in May while dealing with injuries and tough opponents, it could have gone a lot worse.

Looking at the June slate, the level of difficulty for Atlanta will drop. After taking on Arizona this weekend then the New York Mets, Atlanta will look at the following opponents.

Washington Nationals (24-32)

Detroit Tigers (26-28)

Colorado Rockies (24-34)

Philadelphia Phillies (25-31)

Cincinnati Reds (26-30)

Things should turn up for Atlanta, a team with the third most wins in the National League.

We wrote it

Continuing the theme from earlier in the Briefing, Braves Today's Jake Mastroianni wrote about Atlanta being primed to heat up in June.

We knew going in that May would be a rough month, but the Atlanta Braves survived and are now looking to heat up in June. The Braves have gotten off to some slow starts the past few years and then really took off in the Summer months.
Last year at the end of May they were 23-27 and in 2021 they were 25-26.
This season they got off to a hot start and then sputtered at times in May, but still remain 10 games over .500.
The bats have been inconsistent at times leading to a lot of fan frustration, but typically all those hard-hit balls start flying out of the park more in the hot summer months.
While the Braves played a 21-game stretch in May against teams with postseason aspirations and good rosters, the schedule looks much more manageable in June.
