Pitching Matchup
Starting for the Braves tonight is Max Fried. Atlanta's lefty ace has been nails ever since he returned from a strained hamstring suffered on Opening Day - on the season, he's 1-0 with a 0.60 ERA in his three starts. Against the Mets, he's had plenty of success: A 7-5 record with a 2.78 ERA in twenty-one career appearances, dating back to 2017.
Facing off against Atlanta is David Peterson. The lefty is 1-3 with a 7.36 ERA in five appearances on the season, and is only marginally better against Atlanta in his career: 4.50 ERA and 3-3 record in eight appearances. Austin Riley, specifically, has worn out Peterson, as the third baseman is 8-16 with only three strikeouts against the Mets veteran.
