Braves Briefing: Ronald Acuña Jr not only has the 40/40 season, but he set a career mark last night

Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr has already put up one of the most impressive offensive seasons in baseball history, with not only just the 5th 40/40 season in baseball history, but also leading baseball in hits (209), runs (143), stolen bases (68), on-base percentage (.415), and total bases (371).
But there's a career mark that he set last night, as well.

This feat's even more impressive when you consider that Ronald lost the equivalent of a full season to his 2021 ACL tear, plus 102 games in the 2020 season to the shortened schedule MLB instituted. He accomplished the feat in only 665 career games, having missed 135 games in those three seasons to either COVID or injury.
Wild Card Standings
The Atlanta Braves have won the NL East and secured a first-round bye but we're closely watching the Wild Card race as Atlanta will play the winner of the Wild Card series pitting the top two wild card finishers in the Divisional Round.

We Wrote It
Jake Mastroianni handled our takeaways from the record setting game, and lost in the Acuña and Morton news was the strong performances of Austin Riley and Ozzie Albies:
Something you really want to see as the season comes to an end is the guys at the top of the order getting locked in at the plate.
We know Acuña stays ready, but it's nice to see Ozzie Albies and Riley having big series.
Those two have combined for 11 hits and 10 RBI the past two games.
Both of them can be streaky hitters, so hopefully this means they're heating up at the right time.
