After six games, the Atlanta Braves are finally back in Truist Park.

The Atlanta Braves, many of who have been on the road since they reported for spring training, return to the friendly confines of their home ballpark for the beginning of a four game series against the San Diego Padres.

Here's how Atlanta will line up for the contest:

Sean Murphy gets the start behind the dish, angling to get the bat going and providing exemplary defense. Travis d'Arnaud, who is MUCH better at the plate as the DH, bats cleanup while veteran Kevin Pillar gets his 2nd start of the year in left field, batting 8th.

Starting for the Braves is Spencer Strider. The dynamic second-year pitcher has quickly become one of Atlanta's most impactful starting pitchers, finishing last year with an 11-5 record, 2.67 ERA, and 202 strikeouts in only 131.2 innings. He came in second to teammate Michael Harris II for NL Rookie of the Year, prompting calls that there should be separate awards for position players and pitchers.

In his career, Strider's only faced the Padres twice, and both were in relief early last season. He has a combined 4.2 innings against them, with two hits and two runs allowed, striking out five. Strider excelled last week in his season debut, going six scoreless innings against the Washington Nationals, striking out nine, walking three, and allowing only three hits.

Opposing Strider is Blake Snell. The Padres lefty has only faed Atlanta once, as a member of the Tampa Bay Rays in 2018, and gave up one run (a solo homer by Ronald Acuña Jr) and four hits across 6.1 innings, taking the loss in an eventual 1-0 Braves victory.

As it's the home opener, additional festivities are planned in and around Truist Park. The "Braves Walk" will take place at 4:30, as the team walks down Battery Avenue before heading into the ballpark, as well as giveaways all weekend, live music on the Georgia Power Pavilion Stage, and Friday Night Fireworks.
