The Atlanta Braves are one game away. Sitting on a Magic Number of 2, a victory over the Philadelphia Phillies will not only give Atlanta a series victory, but also secure a 6th consecutive National League East championship for the Atlanta Braves. With a flight to Miami tonight and an off-day tomorrow before starting a three game series with the Marlins on Friday, it's the perfect time for a party...if Atlanta can get the victory against Phillies starter Christopher Sanchez and this potent Philadelphia lineup.

Lineup for the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday, September 13th

Here's how the Braves will line up for the contest:

Atlanta's not making any significant changes to their usual lineup - Kevin Pillar checks in for the lefty Christopher Sanchez, batting 8th, while Sean Murphy gets the start behind the plate, batting 7th.

Pitching Matchup for the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday, September 13th

Starting for the Braves is ace Spencer Strider. 16-5 with a 3.83 ERA in his 28 starts, he leads MLB in wins, in strikeouts (250), and strikeout rate (13.9 K/9) as well as leading the National League in FIP, with a 2.89 mark. He's 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA in two starts against Philadelphia this season, striking out 18 with one walk in twelve innings, but he also got blasted by this same team in the postseason last year, giving up five runs on three hits and two walks in just 2.1 innings of game three of the NLDS, a Phillies 9-1 victory.

Opposing Atlanta is Christopher Sanchez. The lefty is 2-3 with a 3.26 ERA in his 15 starts this year, his first as a starter. He's never started against Atlanta before, and only two Braves have at-bats against him, with both Ozzie Albies and Austin Riley going 0-1 against him. But there's a reason most teams don't start lefties against Atlanta - the Braves bat .292/.356/.533 against left-handed pitching this season, one of the best marks in the entire league.
