A day after losing a heartbreaker to the Houston Astros, 6-4, the Atlanta Braves look to break their two-game losing streak behind the arm of MLB's wins leader in 2022, Kyle Wright.

Here's how the Braves will line up for the contest:

Wright has faced the Astros three times in his career, once in the regular season and twice in the World Series. The two postseason appearances were divided amongst a relief appearance (game two) and a start (game four), totaling 5.2 innings with five hits, one run, and three walks to six strikeouts. He won the regular season start on August 19th, 2022, going six innings with six hits, two runs, and one walk to seven strikeouts. The only Astros players to hit a home run in any of the three combined appearances are Jose Altuve, in the World Series, and Kyle Tucker, in the regular season start.

Opposing Wright for Houston is Framber Valdez. The lefty has never made a regular season appearance against the Braves, but started two World Series games against Atlanta and got rocked in both, going a combined six innings with twelve hits and ten runs. He walked three, struck out three, and gave up four homeruns to Atlanta. Interestingly, none of the three players that hit homeruns still play for the Braves, with Adam Duvall (2), Jorge Soler, and Freddie Freeman now playing for the Red Sox, Marlins, and Dodgers respectively. On the season, Valdez is 1-2 despite his best efforts - he's pitched to a 1.80 ERA in four starts, with twenty-five strikeouts to only eight walks.

Tonight's game, scheduled for a 7:20 PM ET, is being broadcast by Bally Sports South. The radio call, with Ben Ingram, is available locally on 680 AM/93.7 FM The Fan or outside the Atlanta market on the Atlanta Braves Radio Network or MLB.com.
