The Atlanta Braves had just about everything go right for them last night: Spencer Strider allowed only three hits and one run in seven strong innings, Michael Harris II had three hits, including a first-inning home run off of Giants starter Logan Webb, and Atlanta cruised to an easy 5-1 win in the series opener out in San Francisco's Oracle Park.

The Braves are hoping for more of the same tonight, with Max Fried on the bump and that potent Atlanta offense looking to add to their league-leading home run and scoring totals for this season.

Lineup for the Atlanta Braves on Saturday, August 26th

Here's how the Braves will line up for the contest:

Atlanta's not making many changes here - Sean Murphy enters the starting lineup in place of Travis d'Arnaud, but other than that it's pretty static. Nicky Lopez continues to get the lion's share of starts at 2nd base for an injured Ozzie Albies (who might be back as soon as early next week in Colorado) and bats 9th today.

Pitching Matchup for the Atlanta Braves and San Francisco Giants on Saturday, August 26th

Starting for the 5th time since coming off the 6o-Day IL, Max Fried's 4-1 on the season with a 2.83 ERA in nine total starts. He had a no-decision last week against these very same San Francisco Giants, going 5.2 innings with nine hits, three runs, and one walk to six strikeouts. He was taken deep by both rookie Luis Matos and veteran Wilmer Flores, and gave up a total of three extra base hits in the outing, with Thairo Estrada adding a double.

Opposing Atlanta is Ryan Walker. 4-2 with a 2.14 ERA, he's made ten starts out of his 34 appearances this season, his first in MLB. Serving in both conventional relief roles and as an opener, his season high is a three-inning outing in relief on July 21st. Most of his "starts" have been for only one or two innings, so look for a few relievers to cycle through and probably a bulk pitcher to take the middle innings.
