Fresh off of a dominating homestand and a much-needed off day, the Atlanta Braves are on the West Coast tonight for the first of ten away games on their last big road trip of the season. Spencer Strider takes the mound for Atlanta, facing off against Giants starter Logan Webb, and it's a late one: 10:15 PM ET.

Lineup for the Atlanta Braves on Friday, August 25th

Here's how the Braves will line up for the contest:

Atlanta is going with mostly chalk in this lineup, with the sole exception of Travis d'Arnaud rotating in behind the plate and batting 7th. Nicky Lopez starts at second base in place of an injured Ozzie Albies, batting 9th.

Pitching Matchup for the Atlanta Braves and San Francisco Giants on Friday, August 25th

Starting for Atlanta is strikeout maestro Spencer Strider. 14-4 with a 3.57 ERA in 25 starts this season, he leads MLB in both strikeouts (227) and strikeout rate (14.0 K/9), with the National League's best Fielding Independent Pitching (2.87). He's making his second consecutive start against the Giants, with his first being one of the best of the season for Strider: seven scoreless innings of one hit, one walk baseball with ten strikeouts. He threw 97 pitches, 65 for strikes, and got out of his only jam in the 4th inning, where a walk and a single put runners on 1st and 3rd but a strikeout of Michael Conforto ended the Giants threat.

Opposing the Braves is Logan Webb. The righty is 9-9 with a 3.36 ERA in 26 games this season, making him one of the only consistent starters in San Fran's patchwork rotation this season. His last start was also against Atlanta, where he took the no-decision after six innings of nine-hit, four run baseball with no walks and five strikeouts in an eventual 6-5 Braves win. Ronald Acuña Jr (1-6, HR, RBI), Matt Olson (5-15, HR, 3 RBIs), and Travis d'Arnaud (1-11, HR, 2 RBIs) have all taken Webb deep in the past, with Acuña's coming last week.
