The Atlanta Braves haven't lost five consecutive games all season.

Spencer Strider wants to keep it that way.

The Braves flamethrower takes the mound tonight against a potential playoff opponent in Philadelphia, who is leading for the 1st Wild Card spot in the National League and will host the #2 Wild Card Finisher in a short series once the playoffs start in October - the winner of that series gets a date with the Atlanta Braves.

Lineup for the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday, September 19th

Here's how the Braves will line up for the contest:

Atlanta's back to their usual LHP lineup, with Kevin Pillar getting the start in left field and batting 8th. Travis d'Arnaud rotates in behind the plate, batting 6th.

Pitching Matchup for the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday, September 19th

Spencer Strider's 17-5 in his 29 starts for Atlanta, putting up a 3.73 ERA and a league-leading 2.83 FIP. His strikeout totals (259) and strikeout rate (13.8 K/9) also lead all of baseball, while he's tied for the lead in wins. Strider's coming off of a sensational start against Philly last Wednesday, where he went seven innings with one run on four hits, striking out nine and walking two.

Opposing the Braves is lefty Christopher Sánchez, 2-4 on the season with a 3.40 ERA. He's probably watched some film on how Marlins lefty Jesus Luzardo handled Atlanta on Sunday, because last week's start against Atlanta for Sanchez, while very good, left some room for improvement: Four runs on eight hits in seven and a third innings, albeit it with ten strikeouts and only one walk. Austin Riley was the big culprit there, as he launched a three-run homer.
