The Atlanta Braves are in Cleveland for the holiday, and hav a matchup tonight with the Guardians and 2020 AL Cy Young winner Shane Bieber. Lefty Kolby Allard's the starter for the Braves, who have been just as hot in July as they were in June, currently riding a season-high nine game win streak and have taken seventeen of their last eighteen. Atlanta's won nine straight series matchups and look to make it ten if they can take this matchup tonight in Cleveland.

Lineup for the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday, July 4th

Here's how the Braves will line up for today's contest:

The Atlanta lineup is pretty static, with Travis d'Arnaud's inclusion after two straight starts by Sean Murphy representing the only change. Given that Atlanta's facing a right-hander, Eddie Rosario remains in the lineup, batting 7th and playing left field, while Marcell Ozuna bats ahead of him as the designated hitter.

Pitching Matchup for the Atlanta Braves and Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday, July 4th

The Braves are giving another start to Kolby Allard. Atlanta's first rounder in 2015, the lefty made his return to the mound with four and two-thirds innings of scoreless baseball against the Twins, striking out eight with three hits and one walk. He was slowed by a grade two oblique strain in spring training and made two rehab starts before being recalled to Atlanta last week.

Opposing Atlanta is righty Shane Bieber. He's 5-5 on the season in seventeen starts, with a 3.48 ERA and eighty-five strikeouts in one hundred and six innings. The two-time All Star and 2020 Cy Young Award winner for the American League hasn't statistically been as good this season as in the past, but he's still a formidable test for a Braves lineup that isn't really all that familiar with him. Most Atlanta players only have one or two plate appearances off of him, with the exception of former division rival Eddie Rosario, who spent the first parts of his career with the Minnesota Twins. In twenty-five plate appearances, Rosario has batted .280 with three homers and three RBIs against Bieber.
