The Atlanta Braves, fresh off of clinching the National League East title for a 6th consecutive season (and the partying that inevitably followed), are back in action tonight in Miami against the Marlins. It's a ballpark that Atlanta knows and loves, with the Braves winning all three of their games in loanDepot Park this season by a combined score of 26-9. Atlanta's 9-1 against Miami this season, all told, with the one loss coming in late April after a blown save gave Miami a late 5-4 victory in the final game of a four-game series.

Lineup for the Atlanta Braves on Friday, September 15th

Here's how the Braves will line up for the contest:

Thanks to yesterday's off day, there's no weird, backup-filled lineup for after the team clinched the NL East. Atlanta's sticking with the usual suspects here, with Travis d'Arnaud rotating in behind the plate and batting 7th.

Pitching Matchup for the Atlanta Braves and Miami Marlins on Friday, September 15th

Starting for the Braves is Bryce Elder. 12-4 with a 3.38 ERA, Elder's started 28 games for Atlanta this season, striking out 120 batters with a >50% ground ball rate. He's 1-0 against Miami this season, allowing four runs on eight hits in 12.1 innings, striking out nine but also getting victimized for three homers. All of the homers and runs came in his first outing, on April 26th, with his 2nd start on May 2nd being seven scoreless innings with only three hits.

Opposing Atlanta is Johnny Cueto. The 37 year-old is 1-4 on the season in his eight starts, with a 6.15 ERA. He hasn't faced Atlanta this year, but they know who he is: He's got a career 2-5 record in ten starts against Atlanta, with his last win over the Braves coming in 2017. Travis d'Arnaud is a good choice to start behind the plate tonight, as he's 3-8 lifetime against Cueto.
