WATCH: Atlanta puts up five runs on six consecutive hits in the 3rd inning

Stop me if you've heard this before, but the Atlanta Braves put a crooked number on the board.
Washington Nationals starter Jake Irvin cruised through the first inning, getting two quick outs and, after an infield single by Austin Riley, retiring Matt Olson via strikeout.
Things were a little touch and go in the 2nd inning, with two walks giving Irvin some traffic to work through, but he came through it unscathed.
He didn't make it through the 3rd inning.
Atlanta sent nine men to the plate against Irvin, scoring five runs on six consecutive hits.

The inning featured some drama, as Marcell Ozuna grounded into what looked to be a double play, but 2nd baseman Luis Garcia never touched 2nd base before throwing to 1st - Atlanta's challenge was successful and Ozuna picked up the RBI.

It's the shortest outing of the season for Irvin, who has successfully limited some top offenses like the Dodgers (one run on three hits in six innings) and Phillies (no runs on five hits in six innings) to modest run totals.
Atlanta's up 5-0 in the bottom of the 3rd, with Max Fried back out for the Braves.
