What to Know for Braves vs Brewers Little League Classic Game

In this story:
The Atlanta Braves are set to play in yet another neutral-site game. This time, it'll be a bout with the Milwaukee Brewers in the Little League Classic.
It's been over a year now since the Braves toughed out rainy weather in Bristol, Tenn., to beat the Cincinnati Reds in the Speedway Classic. Now, they head to Pennsylvania.
Here is everything you need to know for this game. Consider it a TV guide of sorts.
What Even is the Little League Classic?
The Little League Classic is an annual game played in Williamsport, Pa., which is home to the Little League World Series. The game coincides with the actual event, which is currently happening. It runs through Aug. 30.
The intent of this game is to help drive interest in baseball among kids.
In practice, it's a similar concept to the Field of Dreams Game, which was played ealier this month in Iowa.
Different teams play every year, and this will be the first time that either the Braves or the Brewers are participating. As usual, it'll be played at Bowman Field, which is a 100-year-old stadium with a capacity of 2,366.
Where Can I Watch? Who is Pitching?
ESPN is carrying the game. It's in a similar time slot to when they had Sunday Night Baseball. However, that is technically under NBC now. Still, ESPN carries this and the Little League World Series.
The telecast is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. EDT with first pitch getting underway at 7:10 p.m. EDT.
Tyler Mahle will be on the mound for the Braves, and he is up against Shane Drohan. Since coming over from the Giants at the deadline, Mahle has been locked in, pitching to a 1.45 ERA and a 0.85 WHIP with 19 strikeouts in three starts.
Is There a 27th Man for This Game?
Yes. That roster move hasn't been made official yet. That information will be updated here once we learn who the extra player is. It's more than likely going to be a pitcher for each team.
Other Information
This game continues a series that was played in Milwaukee on Friday and Saturday. The Braves lost both games up there, and they look to avoid being swept for the second time on this road trip.
Williamsport is the fourth city this week that the Braves will have played in. They have played in Minneapolis and Chicago as well. Thursday was originally an off day for travel. However, bad weather back in June forced a change in the schedule in order to get a game in.
