Dodgers Notes: Mookie Betts Happy in LA, Jansen Still a Little Disappointed, and More

In this story:
The Dodger machine kept on chugging, coming from down 3-0 to defeat the Red Sox 7-4 in Boston. It was every bit of a 2023 Dodger type game with the top of the order putting in work and the pitching staff doing enough to keep the team in the game.
But, the story of the day was Mookie Betts and his return to Boston for the first time since being traded to the Dodgers after the 2019 season. Mookie spoke with reporters, including Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic before the game where he offered up his thoughts on his tenure with the Red Sox.
"I can look back and say that that was a very, very dope chapter in my life. But the chapter I'm in right now, I'm enjoying so much. I love this so much. I wouldn't trade it for the world."
He received a nice welcome home from the denizens of Fenway Park and extended a tip of the cap back to the sold out crowd. Besides Mookie, it was also a reunion of former Dodgers with Justin Turner and Kenley Jansen in the opponent dugout.
Kenley, the Dodger organization's all-time saves leader expressed love for his old club but also a bit of disappointment for how things turned out in his tenure with the club. His thoughts can be found here.

“You’ve got to play a full game to beat us.”
Like Ned Colletti used to say: “the game is too long for the opponent.”
