The Dodgers won again on Sunday, taking the series two games to one over the Red Sox in Boston. It was a nice little reunion weekend for players on both sides, but certainly the fan base will be happy to see Mookie Betts leave town after a series where he dropped 7 hits, 2 doubles and a home run against his old team.

With his numbers on the season, and his performance in a big series with so many eyes on him, Mookie may have leap frogged Ronald Acuna in the eyes of NL MVP voters this season.

“It’ll be cool to win," Betts said. "It’ll be super cool. I’d be lying if I said it wouldn’t be cool. But the number one thing is winning the World Series, winning the division and playing well.”

In other potential MVP news, with his 50th double of the season, Freddie Freeman passed Shawn Green to become the Dodgers' all-time leader in doubles in a single season told the league to not forget about him when it comes to voting at the end of the year.

Freddie Freeman is so him.

Finally, fans around baseball were shocked to see the Cleveland Guardians pull the rip cord on their Noah Syndergaard experiment just one month after picking him up from the Dodgers. More details can be found here, but the veteran had a 5.40 ERA in 6 starts for the Guardians.
