Former SF Giants star almost embarrasses pitcher's whole family

In this story:
One tool that former SF Giants captain Brandon Belt added later in his career was ridiculous smack talk. After a quiet beginning to his career, scouts have the veteran Belt as an 80 on the silliness scale in trash talk. That was in evidence this week as Belt and the Toronto Blue Jays prepared to face his former team for the first time.
When asked about Wednesday night's starting pitcher, Logan Webb, Belt was complimentary about Webb's skills, but declared that he "just wanted to embarrass his whole family."

Captain Belt had his chance in the first inning, facing Webb with Bo Bichette on first. Belt blasted it to the warning track in left-center, driving in a run when his double caromed off the wall.

It was one of four Blue Jays doubles during a forgettable first inning for Webb, who gave up five runs as Toronto batted around. Three of those runs came with two outs, which probably hurt Webb's feelings a little bit.
In the second inning, Belt had another shot at his old teammate, but his drive once again only reached the warning track. An impressive amount of power, but ultimately not quite enough to embarrass Webb's whole family.

Two doubles is nice, but it's not quite the revenge series Belt wanted. Especially against a team who committed the ultimate act of disrespect this year: Giving his locker to a different Brandon.
“That’s embarrassing … He should be ashamed of doing that … In fact, nobody should be in that locker. My jersey should be hanging there forever.”

Brandon Belt took offense to Brandon Crawford taking his old locker at Oracle Park 😂

Belt called the move "embarrassing for both of us" and contended that his jersey "should be hanging up there forever."
Sadly, the Giants will likely be going with another bullpen game Thursday, so Belt might not know until game time whose family he has to embarrass. Such is the heavy burden borne by the captain.
