That's not a bad way to start the season.

After dropping the season opener, the Cleveland Guardians bounced back to win three straight games against the Seattle Mariners to win their first series of the season.

Not everything was sunshine and roses though through the series win. There were some areas where the Guardians struggled early on in the series. Cleveland went scoreless in the opener and only managed four hits, two coming in the ninth, to start the season.

But if there's one thing we learned from this team last season it's that they're always able to fight back no matter what the circumstance is.

That's exactly what they did in the next three games scoring a combined 17 runs on 27 hits and winning all three of them.

A large amount of that production came from Steven Kwan who had a historic series. He finished the four games tied for the most hits on the team with four and leads the team in RBI with six.

Five of those RBI came on Friday night as Kwan became just the second player to record five or more RBI in one of the first two games of the season. The other player is Larry Doby who did in 1953.

The pitch clock will be something that some of the pitchers need to get used to. James Karinchak struggled a lot with this in his first start of the seaosn and the timer was clearly affecting his command.

Hunter Gaddis and Enyel De Los Santos were also charged with a violations in their appearances.

These minor miscues shouldn't take away from the tremendous series the Guardians played.

Overall, this is a fantastic way to start the season. The Mariners are an outstanding team that will likely end up in the playoffs this October and the Guardians just started the season taking three of four from them. Cleveland's bats got going after a cold start and the only game they lost was one that Shane Bieber started. That's something that doesn't happen often.

The Guardians will now head south to Oakland were they'll open up a three games series with the A's before heading home. Let's see if they can keep this momentum going.
