In this story:

MLB's offseason started almost a month and a half ago, and the Cleveland Guardians still have a lot of question marks regarding their outfield.

Fans were hoping at the very beginning of the offseason that the organization would bring in a fresh face to join the mix. However, that possibility dwindles with each free agent signing with an opposing team.

Here is our prediction for the Guardians' 2024 outfield, post-Winter Meetings edition.

Steven Kwan - LF

Steven Kwan is the easiest name to write in here.

He's won two Gold Gloves in left field through his first two seasons, and is one of the team's best hitters in the lineup. The only way that he's not playing left field is if he makes the shift to center.

Ramón Laureano - CF

Ramón Laureano was one of the more interesting pieces of this Guardians outfield heading down the stretch. He's a plus defender who provides a little more pop on offense compared to Cleveland's current option.

Cleveland and Laureano reached a one-year, $5 million agreement to avoid arbitration and bring him back for the 2024 season. It's hard to see the Guardians wanting a player they just signed to a decently sized contract to sit on the bench or in a platoon role.

With that, it's not an absurd idea that Laureano will be the starting center fielder for the Guardians next season.

Will Brennan - RF

Right field is the position with the biggest question marks. Will the Guardians go out and acquire offensive help? It feels like the answer to that question lies with the front office's stance on a Shane Bieber trade.

If Opening Day was tomorrow, Will Brennan is the clear choice to be staring out there. Brennan's rookie season was full of ups and downs, but he still showed a lot of potential, and deserves a little more time to prove that he can stick.

Myles Straw, Tyler Freeman, David Fry, George Valera

Myles Straw may be pushed to a depth piece if Laureano takes over as the full-time center fielder. Tyler Freeman has also emerged as a possibility to play some outfield, as he's been working with coaches out in Arizona. Let's not forget that David Fry played a few games in the outfield last season, too.

George Valera is also a candidate to join the mix at the Big League level. However, Cleveland doesn't typically call up their top prospects in the cool months of March and April (look at Bo Naylor). So, this feels more like an early-summer option.
