Watch: Harper Mashes First Home Run of Season for Philadelphia Phillies Against Red Sox

Philadelphia Phillies superstar hit his first home run of the 2022 MLB season on Saturday against the Boston Red Sox.

Well, if there was any doubt, Philadelphia Phillies slugger Bryce Harper is back! On Saturday during the fifth inning against the Boston Red Sox, Bryce Harper launched his first home run of the 2022 MLB season.

Down 5-2, Harper launched a 396-foot home run that left the bat at 106.6-mph and had a launch angle of 25 degrees. An absolute missile.

The home run comes just 164 days after undergoing Tommy John surgery, an incredible feat.

Since returning, Harper has a .429 batting average, including his home run on Saturday. He also recorded a single earlier in the game.

Harper did not take a rehab assignment, missed all of spring training and instead came straight into the season. He has not missed a beat.

Philadelphia currently trails 5-3 in a game they desperately need to win after having lost five-straight.

Their next game comes Sunday against Boston with a first pitch scheduled for 1:35 p.m. ET. Taijuan Walker is slated to take the mound.
