Phillies Star Continues Hot Streak With Double For Team USA Against Venezuela

Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto continues his unreal hot streak at the plate for Team USA with a double against Venezuela in the World Baseball Classic Quarterfinals.

Philadelphia Phillies catcher and superstar J.T. Realmuto continued his incredible performance at the plate for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic. In the second inning of the quarterfinal against Venezuela on Saturday night, Realmuto slapped a shot down the left field line for a double.

Fellow Phillies teammate Trea Turner came to the plate next and drew a walk. However, Mookie Betts grounded into a double and Mike Trout struck out to end the inning, stranding Realmuto on third.

Realmuto is hitting .667 during the tournament and helping lead the way for the pitching staff as his performance behind the plate has been invaluable.

Philadelphia fans should be encouraged by his performance this spring as the regular season looms nearer. Realmuto looks set to build on the career year he had in 2022 and help lead his team to another National League pennant.
