Philadelphia Phillies Pull Off Early Trade with Brewers

In this story:
The Philadelphia Phillies have found themselves to be pretty busy in the early part of the offseason.
After acquiring two players from the Tampa Bay Rays in separate transactions, they have now completed a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers.
According to Todd Zolecki of MLB.com, the Phillies are sending infielder Oliver Dunn to the Brewers for outfielder Hendry Mendez and infielder Robert Moore.
At the Arizona Fall League, Dunn had a great performance representing Philadelphia, winning Breakout Player of the Year. He finished with a slash line of .342/.455/.616 with two home runs and 11 RBI across 19 games at the showcase event.
Zolecki reports that the Phillies didn't see a spot for the 26-year-old on their 40-man roster despite his performance at the AFL and being Rule 5 Draft eligible.
So, they used this performance to flip him for two promising prospects in the Milwaukee farm system.
Moore was ranked as the No. 15 prospect and Mendez the No. 27 prospect in the Brewers' pipeline.
Both players are much younger than Dunn, with Moore age 21 and Mendez 20.
This allows Philadelphia to replenish some talent in their own farm system by selling high on a prospect who had one of his career best moments during the fall and likely wouldn't have made the big leagues with them.
With both Moore and Mendez likely to play at the Single-A level this upcoming season, they'll have the opportunity to work their way up through the Phillies' pipeline and develop in that system.
Philadelphia will be able to get their hands on these young prospects to see if they can turn them into potential Major League players or if they can once again use them as trade chips in the future.
