Phillies' Bullpen Target Reportedly Heading to Los Angeles Angels

In this story:
Bullpen additions seem to be the only thing left for the Philadelphia Phillies to sign this offseason.
Despite the rumors they were looking at some of the top starters remaining on the market, it seems like Dave Dombrowski isn't interested in handing out that much money for another starting pitcher when he's comfortable with the current five in the Phillies' rotation.
It felt like there was momentum that Philadelphia could land Robert Stephenson, who many considered to be the best right-handed reliever remaining in free agency this offseason.
However, they will have to continue searching for a bullpen upgrade as Jon Morosi of The New York Post reported the 30-year-old is in agreement to join the Los Angeles Angels.
Jack or "@Jolly_Olive" of Jomboy Media reports Stephenson's deal is three years and over $30 million with an option.
The Phillies already had one of their potential targets come off the board after the American League powerhouse Houston Astros handed out a massive contract to Josh Hader.
There are still solid options remaining in free agency.
Philadelphia likely needs to land one or two of the top arms left on the market. After Craig Kimbrel left to the Baltimore Orioles, there is a clear need in the back-half of the bullpen.
Orion Kerkering will factor into more games this season, which definitely helps the relief staff, but there seemingly is no one in their farm system who could make that leap, unless their No. 5 prospect Griff McGarry is converted to a reliever.
So, there's plenty left to be done for the Phillies as they continue to navigate this winter, prior to the start of the 2024 season.
