Phillies' Slugger Continues to Show Domination in NLCS Round

In this story:
The Philadelphia Phillies put on an offensive show on Tuesday night in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series.
That type of performance seemed to be permeating as the Phillies have continued to score runs in the postseason, but have yet to truly blow a game wide open.
Tuesday was different.
The potent offensive lineup of Philadelphia finally pieced everything together in the sixth and seventh innings, putting up back-to-back four-run frames.
While Bryson Stott was the headliner in the Wild Card round and Nick Castellanos, Bryce Harper and Trea Turner got the attention in the NLDS, everyone was wondering when Kyle Schwarber would get his game going.
Well, just wait until the NLCS starts and the slugger will deliver.
Schwarber hit a solo shot in the third inning and another in the sixth.
He became the fifth player in National League history to have a multi-home run game in the postseason.
He has now hit three homers in two games after having zero the previous two series combined.
This was the round where he got things going last year against the San Diego Padres when he hit three home runs and had four RBI.
With the Chicago Cubs, he hit two in the 2015 NLCS and finished the playoffs with a franchise-tying five postseason home runs.
Schwarber is an enigma at the leadoff spot that baseball analysts continue to marvel over.
That fits perfectly with the Phillies.
He always has a chance to start the game off with one of his patented bombs that looks like it hits the moon before coming down deep into the stands.
This is what Philadelphia had in mind when they signed the veteran slugger to a four-year contract.
He continues to show how valuable he becomes when his teams go deep into the playoffs.
