The Philadelphia Phillies were on top of the world during the MLB Playoffs.

Until they weren't.

Their dominant two game performance in the NLCS at home was overshadowed by their devastating defeats on the road against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

After looking like the Phillies were going to run away with the series, they found themselves tied 2-2 entering Saturday's game.

One unfortunate thing that came out of Philadelphia's loss on Friday was that slugger Kyle Schwarber wasn't able to celebrate his record setting home run properly.

He has now hit the most home runs as as left handed batter in the history of the MLB Playoffs, passing Mr. October Reggie Jackson who had 18.

On Saturday night, Schwarber added to his legacy, hitting his 20th playoff home run 461 feet.

This gave the Phillies a 3-0 lead in the important Game 5 matchup that decides who is going to have the advantage heading into Philadelphia.

Two batters later, Bryce Harper added to his playoff resume by hitting a homer of his own, giving the Phillies a 4-0 lead.

That's the score at the time of this post.

Philadelphia had lost two games in a row against the Diamondbacks, putting their dominant run into jeopardy.

There was questions about if they would be able to respond.

The Phillies jumped to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning after three singles scored a run. Harper stole home to give them the lead and Philadelphia has been cruising ever since.

Whether the Phillies can bring a 3-2 lead back home to Philadelphia will be seen, but they got themselves off the mat in Game 5 with the long ball.
