The Texas Rangers might be struggling with scoring runs right now, but one fan didn’t struggle running onto the field Friday night.

Well, at least until he wasn’t running anymore.

An unidentified male fan interrupted the Rangers-Toronto Blue Jays series opener by running shirtless from one end of the outfield to the other. He was wearing dark-colored shorts and waving something white – likely his shirt – during his sprint from left field to right.

The large crowd of more than 34,000 was seemingly cheering him on, as evident by the hoots and hollers heard in video taken by @BadGuysMets on Twitter. Texas fans had little else to cheer about in the 2-1 loss.

Once the man reached the right-field corner, his luck and legs ran out. Rangers security performed a takedown with a textbook tackle around his waist to end his 15 seconds of fame and restore order. At that point, he was without whatever he was waving.

There’s been no official word on why the man did it. Or what happened to his shirt.
