ARLINGTON, Texas – Corey Seager remained out of the Texas Rangers lineup for Tuesday night's game against the Atlanta Braves at Globe Life Field.

But it wasn't due to his hamstring. Instead, it's stomach issues.

"Corey is battling a stomach bug," general manager Chris Young said before the game. "We were going to activate yesterday or today. We'll wait until he feels better."

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy added that Seager feels "washed out," but should be activated Wednesday for the series finale with Atlanta. There are no issues with Seager's hamstring.

Young called Seager's return "imminent" on Monday, adding the start shortstop would be back on the current homestand that runs through Sunday. Seager is eligible to be activated.

The Rangers (25-16) had Ezequiel Duran back in the lineup at short for the second game against the Braves. Texas has Dune Dunning (3-0, 1.72) on the hill, with Jared Shuster (0-1, 8.31) going for Atlanta. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

Seager played three rehab games in Double-A Frisco — two starts at shortstop and one at designated hitter. He finished 2-for-8 with a walk, a run and two RBI.

Seager has been out of the lineup since April 12 due. He was batting .359 with four doubles, a homer and seven runs at the time.
