OF Leody Taveras (10-Day, right quad, placed on March 30, retroactive to March 27, eligible to return April 6): Rangers general manager Chris Young said the Rangers hope that Taveras will be ready to join them on the first road trip of the season, when the Rangers go to Chicago to face the Cubs on Friday. Taveras took batting practice from both sides of the plate on Tuesday.
RHP Josh Sborz (15-Day, ankle, placed on March 30, retroactive to March 27, eligible to return April 11): Sborz last pitched on March 22.
RHP Spencer Howard (15-Day, shoulder impingement, lat injury, placed on March 30, retroactive to March 27, eligible to return April 11): Howard hasn’t pitched since March 1 and Young said he’s making progress.
RHP Jake Odorizzi (60-Day, right arm fatigue, placed on March 30, eligible to return May 29): Odorizzi did not pitch in a game this spring and will undergo further examination by Rangers physician Dr. Keith Meister.
RHP Glenn Otto (60-Day, sprained shoulder, lat injury, placed on March 30, eligible to return May 29): Otto is in Arizona to continue rehabilitation for the shoulder.
LHP Brett Martin (60-Day, shoulder surgery): Martin had surgery on Jan. 18 and is expected to miss most of the 2023 season.
