Rangers Injury Updates
RHP Brett Martin (left shoulder surgery on Jan. 18) is on the 60-day Injured List (Feb. 17) and is expected to miss most of 2023.
RHP Jacob deGrom reported left side tightness on Feb. 15 when he arrived at spring training. He took off four days throwing before a mound session on Thursday, throwing just over 20 pitches, all of which were fastballs. He threw his second bullpen session on Sunday.
C Mitch Garver (right forearm flexor tendon repair surgery on July 11, 2022) entered camp with few limitations. He has taken at-bats in spring training games and will make his first spring start at catcher on Monday at Cincinnati. He hit a home run vs. the Reds.
RHP Dane Dunning (right hip surgery on Sept. 26, 2022) made his first appearance in a spring game on Saturday against Kansas City.
RHP Joe Barlow (right wrist surgery on Nov. 4, 2022) made his spring debut on Saturday against Kansas City.
RHP Yerry Rodríguez (right Achilles) has been limited early in camp but participated in PFP (pitchers fielding practice) drills on Saturday.
LHP Avery Weems (Tommy John left elbow surgery on Feb. 15) was originally expected to be a non-roster invitee for the first time in his career before undergoing season-ending procedure in February.
