Texas Rangers outfielder Travis Jankowski went hitless in his second injury rehab assignment with Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday.

Jankowski batted leadoff for the Express again and played left field. Teammate Mitch Garver is also on a rehab assignment.

Wednesday’s game didn’t go much differently than Tuesday’s. He went 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts. He also stranded two runners.

Jankowski went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in his debut on Tuesday. He also left two runners on base.

The Express are in Albuquerque for a week-long series with the Isotopes. Albuquerque won 13-4.

The Rangers have not announced how long Jankowski’s rehab assignment will be, but he eligible to be activated when ready.

Jankowski left the Rangers’ May 7 game with the Los Angeles Angels after tweaking a hamstring while crossing the plate in the 16-8 victory.

After the game he was diagnosed with right hamstring tightness. The Rangers put Jankowski on the injured list retroactive to May 8.

Jankowski is batting .309 with nine RBI so far this season. While shortstop Corey Seager was out of the lineup, Jankowski was one of the players Bochy turned to in the No. 2 spot in the batting order.

The Rangers are also 17-7 with Jankowski in the lineup this season.

The Rangers signed the former first-round pick before Spring Training and nearly cut him before it was clearly that center fielder Leody Taveras would not be ready for Opening Day due to injury. The Rangers kept Jankowski and he’s made himself a valuable part of their outfield rotation.
