New Details Emerge About Frankie Montas' One-Year Contract With Reds

In this story:
CINCINNATI — Frankie Montas passed his physical and officially signed his one-year contract with the Reds on Tuesday.
New details emerged about his one-year contract. The deal includes a $20 million mutual option for the 2025 season according to Mark Feinsand. It might be expensive, but it's a good option for both sides to have on the table.
Montas missed most of last season with a shoulder injury. He has high upside and is a proven starting pitcher when healthy. If he pitches well, both sides could have interest in the mutual option. It does include a $2 million buyout in 2025.
