Dane Myers Fires Back After Former Reds Outfielder Calls Him Out

In this story:
The Cincinnati Reds recently lost a game to the St. Louis Cardinals after outfielder Dane Myers dropped a fly ball with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning of a game that the Reds were leading by a run. If Myers had secured this catch, the Reds would have won the game. Instead, he dropped it, and the Reds lost.
As a result, former Reds outfielder Tommy Pham took to social media to call out Myers in an accusation that shocked fans.
"What’s going on is we have cf’s today who know the value of stealing catches to help their ooa numbers go up bcuz it improves your war so you have this, a game that is lost bcuz the cf didn’t want the lf to catch the ball bcuz he wanted the points," Pham wrote in a post to X after Myers' game-losing drop.
Phamn doubled down and continued to call out Myers on X. After a little bit, Myers finally responded in a post of his own.
Tommy Pham, Dane Myers Get Into Heated Exchange on X

"A ten year vet, decent one at that, a 'brother' calling me selfish. You are talking like an average fan man, you spent all that time in big leagues you should know/remember there’s more to a play than what just appears on the screen… that being said play still has to be made," Myers responded to Pham on X.
Pham fired back another comment about Myers being selfish, but the Reds outfielder continued to hold his ground against the former Reds outfielder. Pham was seemingly never too well liked by the Reds fan base. Now, he's trying to argue that Myers is hated in the clubhouse, but Myers isn't willing to go down without a fight.
"Sticking with selfish still? Even after a mutual told you that’s not who I am? I’m 30 about to enter first year of arb I’m never getting a big bag, I don’t care about extra .1 oaa, I play to win, quit playing with my name and character. You sound dumb. You’re a wack 'OG' to me," Myers fired back to Pham after Pham continued to post about the Reds outfielder.
"What mutual you referring to the mutuals I talked to said your a child and they are tired of you, if I screenshot the text I’ll really embarrass you you a lame plain and simple," Pham wrote in a post back to Myers.
The Childish Exchange Continued Longer Than Expected

At this point in the argument, it turned childish. The two continued to argue in front of the entire world. It seemed to turn into the kind of argument that you would hear between two pre teen brothers.
"Screenshot it og, nah a lame is someone who blames at bats on bad pair of contacts, a lame would be someone telling a whole house party they should be on him because he was top in war previous season. This couldn’t be you… right?" Myers wrote back on X.
"I hit better than you with bad vision at 38 your 30 and you have accumulated 1.2 fwar and 87 wrc going into arb that’s non tender territory your -7drs in cf your teammates, and trainers say your a cry baby and child and don’t respect you," Pham stated in a post to X.
"Exposing yourself for being lame bringing up stats. Drs is a broken metric, you talk like you were Willie Mays in the outfield… you had a good career Og be happy, don’t forget how hard the game is. I think you’re lying unless you posting screenshots like you said," Myers posted to X.
Myers understands he needs to make this play. He didn't, and the Reds lost. That's baseball. It's unlikely that he was considering his outs above average, as Pham suggested in his original post. Either way, this fiery exchange between Myers and Pham was completely unnecessary and avoidable.
