Barry Zito weighs in on MLB home run spike
Former AL Cy Young award winner and World Champion Barry Zito weighed in on MLB’s recent stagnant free agency periods and the trend of young players signing extensions. A former MLBPA union rep himself during his playing career, Zito offered insight on the sport’s labor negotiations to SI Now’s Amy Campbell asking, “Would you rather have the money go in the pockets of the owners or the players, because I promise it’s going somewhere.”
