Predicting the rookie of the year is always hard, but it is particularly difficult in the shortened season. SI Senior Writer Tom Verducci has his eye on some standout stars-in-the-making.

The much talked about Los Angeles Dodgers 2B Gavin Lux is going to get a good chance to prove himself this season, as will Chicago White Sox CF Luis Robert. However, a lot can happen in a 60 game season, and some of Tom's other candidates could give Lux and Robert a run for their respective money.
