Washington Nationals Stephen Strasburg’s hand injury has been diagnosed.

Strasburg has been battling nerve issues in his right hand all season, and on Friday the pitcher shared he was reportedly diagnosed with carpal tunnel.

The right-handed pitcher saw a hand specialist Thursday and now Nationals manager Davey Martinez is saying that surgery is a possibility.

The starting pitchers 2020 season got off to a tough start. Strasburg didn’t make his season debut until August 8th and was put on the injured list a week later on August 15.

The 2019 World Series MVP has gone 0-1 with a 10.80 ERA this season for the Nationals.
