The Houston Astros are just one win away from the American League Championship Series. The Astros took a commanding 2-0 lead in the ALDS after beating the A’s 5 to 2 in Game 2 on Tuesday.

It was the second straight day of at least five home runs in the first five innings in this series and it was also a rough postseason start for A’s Sean Manaea who gave up four runs on five hits in 4 ⅓ innings.

Oakland took the lead in the second inning on Khris Davis' solo homer but they couldn’t stay ahead as 2017 MVP George Springer homered in the third and then again in the fifth inning. Springer now has 17 career postseason home runs and is tied for 7th all time.

Astros Catcher Martin Maldonado also hit a solo homer in the fifth helping Houston get the win. The A’s will try to keep the series alive as they face they Astro's on Wednesday for Game 3
