The New York Yankees evened out the series on Thursday night, beating the Tampa Bay Rays 5-1. They have now forced a decisive Game 5 in which the winner will head to the American League Championship Series to face the Houston Astros.

Luke Voit put the Yankees on the board first in the 2nd inning- getting his first home run this postseason. Gleyber Torres added to the scoring in the 6th inning with a 2-run bomb giving the Yankees a 4-1 lead.

Frank Sinatra blasted in Petco Park after a 100 mph fastball from Aroldis Chapman picked up the save for the Yankees. New York will likely start Gerrit Cole in Game 5, who will likely have to face Tampa Bay’s ace Blake Snell. The Game 1 starters will be playing on little rest as they help determine who will clinch a ticket to the ALCS.

As for now though, the Yankees are staying alive but the win or go home Game 5 is set for Friday.
