UFC President Dana White believes that UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden is the most successful event in the company's history, according to FOX Sports.

"Sitting here tonight, we broke every record in UFC history tonight. Every record," White said . "The only one I'm waiting on now is the FOX number, how did FOX Sports 1 do and it would be really, really weird and make no sense if we didn't break that record, too.”

It is estimated that 20,427 attended the fights at MSG with a gate of $17.7 million. The previous record for a gate number at MSG was $13.5 million for a boxing match between Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis.

“Jesus is going to have to fight the Devil to break that record. I just don’t see what does it," White added.

Conor McGregor's unforgettable act caps UFC's wildy successful New York City debut

Pay-per-view numbers are not released by UFC but it is believed that Saturday night's main card may have surpassed the 1.65 million pay-per-view purchases from UFC 202, which also featured a Conor McGregor fight.

McGregor defeated Eddie Alvarez by TKO in the second round.
