The Notorious Connor McGregor revealed on Twitter that he accepted an offer to fight Dustin Poirier on Jan. 23. He also shared his goal is to see this fight take place in A&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. ESPN reported on Wednesday that Dana White had given somewhat of an ultimatum and offered Jan. 23 as the only date available for the bout and would not concede to it happening earlier per McGregor's request.

The former UFC 2 division champion of the world was hoping to have 3 fights this year but with the coronavirus and failed negotiations with Dana White and the UFC, nothing ever came to fruition. McGregor’s last fight came in January when he had a 40-second TKO victory over Cowboy Cerrone. His opponent Dustin "Diamond" Poirier last fought in the Main Event of UFC Fight Night where he defeated Dan Hooker in a 5 round unanimous decision back on June 27.

McGregor has so far only agreed to this fight on social media, but one would think its a done deal now.
