Donovan McNabb v. Philadelphia

After 11 successful years in Philadelphia, Donovan McNabb was ushered out of Philadelphia and shipped to division rival Washington. This week, he returns and finds out if Philly really should be called the City of Brotherly Love. That he is facing his former backup, Michael Vick, makes this already intriguing matchup that much more interesting. That got us thinking about the NFL's most anticipated reunion games. Here are our favorites.

Brett Favre vs. Green Bay

Many consider Brett Favre's return to Lambeau Field the ultimate reunion. But for Packers fans, what could be worse than seeing your all-time hero clad in Vikings' purple at the Metrodome? Maybe seeing your all-time hero decimate his former team with three touchdowns and 271 yards in a 30-23 Vikings victory.

Terrell Owens vs. Philadelphia

Like Donovan McNabb before him, Terrell Owens returned to Philadelphia with an NFC East rival. Unlike McNabb however, Owens ended his own career with the Eagles' by publicly bad-mouthing McNabb and the entire Eagles organization. The fans didn't forget this. They showered Owens with jeers, and perhaps as a result, his performance was lackluster: three catches for 45 yards in a 38-24 loss.

Joe Montana vs. San Francisco

Joe Montana was everything the San Francisco 49ers could have asked for. But when he was beset with injuries between 1991-92, the team decided to go with a younger and healthier Steve Young. Montana was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs, and in Week 3 of the 1994 season, Montana got his only shot at revenge. Never one to disappoint, Montana was stellar, throwing for 203 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-17 Chiefs victory.

Drew Brees vs. San Diego

Do you think the Chargers regret this one? After Drew Brees injured his shoulder in the final game of the 2005 season, the Chargers opted to go with first-round pick Philip Rivers, who has been solid for them since. But Brees, who's the proud owner of a Super Bowl ring now, has flourished in New Orleans. He showed his former team how far he's come by earning NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors with 339 yards and three touchdowns in a 37-32 Saints win over the Chargers in 2008.

Jerry Rice vs. San Francisco

After 16 immaculate seasons with the 49ers, Jerry Rice signed with the cross-town rival Raiders in 2001. The two teams met for the first time in Week 9 of the 2002 season at Oakland Coliseum. Rice, unfortunately, was overshadowed by the man who replaced him in San Francisco, Terrell Owens, who had a very Rice-like day with 12 catches and 191 yards in the 49ers 23-20 victory.

Emmitt Smith vs. Dallas

Smith's return to Texas Stadium definitely did not go as planned. Against his former team, the all-time leading rusher carried the ball only six times for a career-low minus-one yard rushing. Smith would go on to play only 10 games that season with Arizona, in the process rushing for a career-worst 256 yards and two touchdowns.

Josh McDaniels vs. Bill Belichick

This was when the student became the teacher. Many were surprised when supposed quarterback guru Josh McDaniels was given the reigns to the Denver Broncos. But after McDaniels defeated his former mentor and led a surprising Broncos squad to a 5-0 record (in the process becoming the second Bill Belichick disciple to win his first game against his former boss), he confirmed that he was not just a product of a great New England system, like many of his predecessors have proved to be.

Joey Porter vs. Pittsburgh

The Steelers released their loud-mouthed linebacker in March 2006, and he left the Steel City to take his talents to South Beach. In the first matchup between his current and former squad he let the Steelers know he wasn't washed up. Porter intercepted a Ben Roethlisberger pass to end the Steelers' opening drive, and lingered along the Steelers sideline to jaw at all his former teammates.
