With his Vikings a lackluster 2-11 and a left ankle performing at just 85 percent, it makes sense for Adrian Peterson to shut it down for the season and come back strong in 2012. But he has a reason to suit up on Sunday. "It's very important, especially for my fantasy team owners," Peterson told the Minnesota Star Tribune. "They've been giving me a hard time." And speaking for all fantasy owners who are in the playoffs and needs a strong game for Peterson, let me publicly thank AP for thinking of us. Now go out and get us some points!

Panthers receiver Steve Smith said its the Broncos defense that has made them winners and Tebow "wouldn't be on my son's flag football team" ... Jockey Underwear, which Tebow endorses, is giving away $1 million in prizes if the Broncos win the Super Bowl ... Two hours later, he was welcoming a pretty blonde into his room at the same hotel. Take that Tim!
