Falcons moving up for Clowney?
At some point, it seems clear, the Texans are going to take a quarterback. The question is when. As it stands, I believe the Texans are trying to decide between defensive end Jadeveon Clowney and quarterback Johnny Manziel with the first overall pick. I believe general manager Rick Smith will trade -- but not too far down -- if he gets an overwhelming offer from a team that believes the extraordinarily talented Clowney is the missing piece. I believe if the Texans trade down a few spots and Manziel is there, they'll take him. I think if he's gone, it'll come down to outside linebacker Khalil Mack or quarterback Blake Bortles. There's been speculation that Atlanta might try to entice Smith to swap first-round spots so the Falcons can select Clowney. (Houston Chronicle)Comment
Bulls' Noah reveals knee injury
On the surface, a six-point, 18-rebound, seven-assist effort wasn't an atypical one for Joakim Noah, but all was not well. Visibly hobbled while running the floor, Noah gutted out the contest. ... [Noah] would later acknowledge that he wasn't at full strength, albeit reluctantly. "There's really no excuses right now. It's been a long year and yeah, I've got things I've got to take care of," Noah said. "My knee. My knee is bothering me. My left knee. I'm not sure what it is, but I was able to play today. I think I was limited a little bit. But it's no excuses. I'll check it out, find out what's wrong and take care of it. And now, we've got a lot of time to take care of it." McLellan tells both Sharks goalie to be ready for Game 7
Todd McLellan decided to address the elephant in the room without being prompted Tuesday. The Sharks coach said only that he told both goalies to be ready and after that we knew enough not to even ask whether Antti Niemi or Alex Stalock would be in net. Sometimes you ask questions you know will go unanswered. This time did not seem to be one of them. ... The Sharks have seen more than their share of Game 7s in recent years, and amazingly, were in exactly this same position in 2011 when they won the first three games and dropped the next three to the Detroit Red Wings. San Jose won the finale 3-2 on a goal by Patrick Marleau. "It would be nice to get another one, that's for sure," said Marleau, whose OT goal won Game 3 for the Sharks against the Kings.
