Joseph, a seldom-used 6-foot-3 point guard, got extended run in a game that saw Oklahoma City lead by as many as 27 points.
With a little more than seven minutes remaining in the fourth quarter and the Thunder leading 91-73, Joseph split the defense on the perimeter and took off for the hoop. Driving from the left angle across the paint, Joseph elevated from outside the protected circle in search of a right-handed dunk. Ibaka also came across the key to attempt a right-handed swat, only to have Joseph throw down over the top of him.
As emphatic as the dunk was, it was too little too late. Russell Westbrook led Oklahoma City with 40 points (on 12-for-24 shooting), 10 assists, five rebounds and five steals. Kevin Durant added 31 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals in the win.
Joseph finished with 11 points (on 4-for-7 shooting) and three rebounds in 17 minutes. Tony Parker led the Spurs with 14 points (on 7-for-12 shooting), two rebounds and two steals in a losing effort.
