Report: Joel Embiid undergoes successful right foot surgery

Joel Embiid is expected to go early in Thursday's NBA draft, but the 20-year-old's injured foot has teams worried.
The 7-footer from Cameroon underwent successful surgery on his right foot on Friday, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski, citing Embiid's agent, Arn Tellem.
Dr. Richard Ferkel reportedly inserted two screws into the navicular bone in Embiid's right foot.

"The surgery went very well and I’m confident that after appropriate healing he will be able to return to NBA basketball," Tellem said.
Embiid's recovery is expected to take 4-6 months, Wojnarowski reports. He will not attend the draft because he can't fly for 10 days to two weeks, post-surgery, Tellem told ESPN.com.
The Cavaliers hold the top pick in the draft, followed by the Bucks, 76ers, Magic and Jazz in the top five.
